A selection of our favourite Montréal pizzerias
It seems like Montréal has been developing a love affair with all
things pizza in the last couple of years. Parlour after parlour keep
opening up and thriving. Whether you prefer Neapolitan, Roman, New York,
Montréal or a very unique style to your pizza, below are some of our
favourites organized by neighbourhood.
DOWNTOWN

Fiorellino offers great Neapolitan-style pizza cooked in a wood burning oven.
Café Parvis
A unique decor, a hip and unpretentious ambiance, great coffee and delicious pizze, including a breakfast one for weekend brunch.

Bottega Pizzeria
Bottega is a Little Italy favourite and serves great pasta dishes, gelato and of course, lovely, Napoletana-style pizza made in their famous, red-tiled, wood burning oven.
Pizzeria Gema
Try the classic 1889, the bitter and tangy Menina (my favourite) or go for the ever-surprising pizza of the month inspired by great culinary talents such a as local chefs and industry people.
San Gennaro
Owned by the same family as Bottega Pizzeria mentioned above, San Gennaro makes some of the best authentic Roman-style pizza in Montréal.

Pizzeria Magpie
The tin ceiling, the mosaic-covered wood-burning oven and the Mile End hipster clientele all contribute in making Magpie a great place to grab a delicious pie. Magpie just opened their second location in the Village.

Mangiafoco
The wine list, the mozzarella bar, the cutting-edge design and the great pizza cooked in a wood-burning oven are all good reasons to visit this beautiful Old Montréal spot.

OUTREMONT
No 900
Located inside the Outremont Theater, this tiny space is reminiscent of an old Italian brasserie with its marble tables, tile work and brass accents. The pizzas are all fabulously delicious, including the breakfast ones served at brunch. No 900 is also a (very impressive) food truck so watch for it around town in season. Gluten free pizza available.

Prato has been around for a while and is well loved by many Montrealers. Prato’s coal fired brick oven produces a great crust and the endless variety of toppings to which you can add extras is nice.
